# Six Thinking Hats (de Bono)

Evaluate a topic by systematically switching between six distinct thinking modes, ensuring balanced analysis and preventing groupthink.

## Steps

1. **White Hat (Facts)** — What data and information do we have? What is missing? Focus only on known facts and gaps.
2. **Red Hat (Feelings)** — What is your gut reaction? What emotions does this idea trigger? No justification needed.
3. **Black Hat (Caution)** — What could go wrong? What are the risks, weaknesses, and obstacles?
4. **Yellow Hat (Optimism)** — What are the benefits? Why could this work? What is the best-case scenario?
5. **Green Hat (Creativity)** — What alternatives exist? What new ideas does this spark? Think laterally.
6. **Blue Hat (Process)** — Step back and manage the thinking. Summarize findings, decide next steps, and identify which hat needs more time.

## Output Format

A six-section analysis, one per hat color, with key points listed under each. Conclude with a Blue Hat summary that synthesizes all perspectives and recommends a decision or next action.
