# Assumption Validation Board

Surface hidden assumptions, rank them by risk, and design cheap experiments to validate each one. Use at the start of any new initiative to reduce uncertainty before committing resources.

## Steps

1. **List assumptions** — brainstorm all assumptions about users, problem, solution, market, and business model.
2. **Categorize** — group into Desirability, Feasibility, and Viability.
3. **Rank by risk** — score each on (importance to success) x (uncertainty level).
4. **Design experiments** — for the top 3-5 riskiest assumptions, define a cheap, fast test (interview, prototype, smoke test).
5. **Run and record** — execute experiments, capture evidence, mark each assumption as validated, invalidated, or inconclusive.

## Output Format

A board (table or kanban) with columns: Assumption, Category, Risk Score, Experiment, Status (untested/validated/invalidated), and Evidence summary.
